Our story

Globally we have a 35-year heritage and 520 experts & advisers, managing £1.7bn of global tax incentives, grants and subsidies annually for a broad range of clients including some of the world’s best-known brands.

In Ireland, we were established as Braithwaite Consultants back in 2011, in August 2022 we were acquired by the French-listed technology group, ABGI.. We remained as Braithwaite until July 2024, when we rebranded as ABGI. Ireland. Then, in September 2024, ABGI. was acquired by Groupe SNEF. SNEF is a 119 years-old, €1.7bn turnover French business with 13,000 employees in 30 countries, active in manufacturing, engineering, telecoms and nuclear power sectors amongst many others.

SNEF made the strategic decision to divide ABGI. into two distinct segments. The software side will continue operating under the ABGI. name, while the Consulting (R&D Tax Credits) division adopted the long-standing ABGI brand.

So – after only 9 months as ABGI., we rebranded as ABGI Ireland on the 31st March.
